Summary

On his quest to find the one behind the curse on his sword， Vald manages to sneak into the empire's capital。 His target is the greatest sorcerer in Zenedoura - Asterdol。 However， in the midst of his search， Vald is captured by servants of the emperor。 Fortunately for him， his capture brings an unexpected boon: the very sorcerer Vald is looking for comes straight to him！ What will Vald do when he discovers that the man behind the curse looks exactly like Limris？ And now that he's facing his greatest danger yet， will Halvir come to Vald's rescue？

Este volumen no me gusto nada ¿Había necesidad de que Val sea casi violado， no una， sino dos veces？ Es un recurso que se usa demasiado en este tipo de historias y lo odio， aparte el protagonista actúa como si nada y ni siquiera se enoja con el violador。 Además de eso， no pasa realmente mucho en la historia。

This volume features the cutest moment ever between Vald and Halvir。 The prince finally realize that he needs the sorcerer at his side and what a good team they made。Now on the negative side I could have done without the whole “Vald almost get rape， not once but twice”， I though this series was better than this horrible yaoi trope， guess I was wrong。There is a new enemy that wants Vald demonic power， the sorcerer Asterdol。 The moment the prince gets separated from Halvir， he gets stuck in a dime This volume features the cutest moment ever between Vald and Halvir。 The prince finally realize that he needs the sorcerer at his side and what a good team they made。Now on the negative side I could have done without the whole “Vald almost get rape， not once but twice”， I though this series was better than this horrible yaoi trope， guess I was wrong。There is a new enemy that wants Vald demonic power， the sorcerer Asterdol。 The moment the prince gets separated from Halvir， he gets stuck in a dimensional prison with Limris and the consult is not to be trusted。 Since the moment this character was introduce in previous volume， I knew he was up to no good。It funny how the author note mention that Vald have some strong “manly” moments in this volume， but I find he almost have turn into a damsel in distress and get constantly capture by his enemies。 I am disappointed and hope that this will get better in the next volume。 。。。more

While I do love Yamane's work， I feel like this series is starting to drag a bit。 Too many things happening at the same time so that it gets confusing。Unlike "Viewfinder" in which the series is divided in arcs， this one is continuous so I think that's where I'm starting to lose interest。I actually started to read the continuity （from Japan） and it does not seem to get better。 The story seems to want to become even more convoluted and a bit too much on the plot while pushing the erotica elements While I do love Yamane's work， I feel like this series is starting to drag a bit。 Too many things happening at the same time so that it gets confusing。Unlike "Viewfinder" in which the series is divided in arcs， this one is continuous so I think that's where I'm starting to lose interest。I actually started to read the continuity （from Japan） and it does not seem to get better。 The story seems to want to become even more convoluted and a bit too much on the plot while pushing the erotica elements aside which， basically， is what Yaoi is all about， the erotica aspect of a story。 Without it， you just have a story。。。 with great art but just a fantasy story like any others。 。。。more

The world of Crimson Spell has always been steeped in magic。 But the mystical takes more and more time center stage until you’re not quite certain what is happening。 People get plunged into dimensional rifts， sucked into dimensional portals; time bugs make their appearances although why they’re there is a bit of a mystery。 Are they just great big magical tapeworms winding their way willy nilly through human lives or are they at the mercy of powerful sorcerers？Vald gets in trouble， once more play The world of Crimson Spell has always been steeped in magic。 But the mystical takes more and more time center stage until you’re not quite certain what is happening。 People get plunged into dimensional rifts， sucked into dimensional portals; time bugs make their appearances although why they’re there is a bit of a mystery。 Are they just great big magical tapeworms winding their way willy nilly through human lives or are they at the mercy of powerful sorcerers？Vald gets in trouble， once more playing his part as the damsel in distress。 He’s capable enough to save others; it’s just he has a habit of getting into tight spots and needing someone else—usually Havi—to rescue him。 Others also find themselves being drawn to him， usually in a sexual way。 （It’s odd that he and Havi are the only ones getting this sort of attention; they’re both hot-looking men but they’re not the only ones！）New players show up， sometimes bearing a bewildering similarity to each other。 There’s a sorcerer who looks like Limris and a sick prince who looks like a soul-sucking priestess。 When a book series goes on as long as this one， changes are permissible and indeed welcome; it shows an author is maturing in his/her abilities。 I know that Ms。 Yamane has a singular drawing style that distinguishes her manga from others。 But she could have tried harder to make clear distinctions in her characters beyond clothing styles here。A good installment here but not a great one。 Readers should be challenged not confused。 。。。more
